JOB TITLE

English Tutor 

LOCATION: Umlazi,KZN

JOB PURPOSE

Tutoring foundational English to learners that are struggling with reading, writing and communicating proficiently in the language.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Tutoring (6hrs per week) (Mon-Wed)

2. Marking spelling tests

3. Communicating with parents

4. Compiling Student Progress Reports (every 3 months)

5. Marking Student Attendance Registers

6. Communicating with learners

7. Submit attendance registers & Homework everyday

8. Monitor WhatsApp groups

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or any relevant qualification

• No criminal record

• Not a registered sex offender

• Advantage if you live within a 5km radius of the school

EXPERIENCE

• Worked with children

• Previous teaching experience or practical’s will be an advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proficient in English speaking, writing, and reading

• Good with children

• Communicate well

• Computer literate

• Creative thinker

• Problem solver

• Hardworking

• Time management skills

• Trustworthy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Any teaching qualification or experience will be an advantage.
